The Arts
Explore exhibitions at Krannert Art Museum. It has one of the largest permanent collections in the state of Illinois. Then, you can view or show student work in the Link Gallery. For top performances, nothing beats Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, which boasts four indoor theatres and an outdoor amphitheatre. Host to over 300 events every year, like the Wall 2 Wall Guitar Festival, the National Bunraku Puppet Theatre of Japan, and student performances—Krannert has the arts covered.
Entertainment
Illinois is a prime location to see a popular show. The Assembly Hall Concert Series has recently brought in the Red Hot Chili Peppers, T.I., and other artists. In addition shows like Cirque du Soleil and Broadway productions have graced the stage. Plus, you can head to Canopy Club to catch local and national bands. Or, try your hand behind the scenes through the student-run concert production group Star Course, which brings acts like Ben Folds and Spoon to Foellinger Auditorium.
