Get Involved

Quad Day/RSOs

There’s a Registered Student Organization (RSO) for every interest at Illinois, from academic and professional to philanthropic and political. With more than 1,000 organizations, you are sure to find something that fits you. Join anything from the Illini 4000 to the Climbing Club. Have an idea for a new RSO? Go ahead and start your own!

Leadership Experience

There are certain organizations that can provide you with specialized leadership experience. Plan events as a member of the Illini Union Board, which coordinates over 200 events annually on campus or run for a position in the Illinois Student Senate, the student-run governing body of the University. You can also take part in leadership workshops hosted by the Leadership Center to help develop your skills.

Volunteer

Giving back to the community is a priority at Illinois and our students have multiple opportunities to get involved. Learn about the numerous ways you can help at the Office of Volunteer Programs, a partnership between Illinois and the United Way. You can volunteer by tutoring in local schools with the America Reads and Counts programs, building houses for Habitat for Humanity, or by participating in another meaningful cause.

Campus Events

There is an amazing amount of activities to take part in on campus. The calendar that lists a majority of events is the Illinois Campus Calendar. You can search for athletic events, different speakers coming to campus, or recreational activities happening on campus and by department, facility hours, and academic dates.
